TransAtlantic Airlines, based in New York, is currently preparing N723DA in Victorville for its first flight since landing at Victorville in 2001. Ship 723 is the first of several former Delta L1011's being reactivated for revenue service across the Atlantic from New York's JFK International Airport. Plans include operating six L1011's re-registered to TransAtlantic airlines from JFK to destinations in West Africa. An additional two L1011’s were also acquired for parts planes for a total of eight L1011's.
Keeping checking this website for progress on the L1011's including information on first flights, new livery, and flight operations. The following exclusive photos were taken on an overcast day in Victorville on September 20, 2005.
