An Air France Boeing 777-300, registration F-GSQA performing flight AF-277 (dep Jan 4th) from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was enroute overhead Europe, breakfast was just about to be served, when a passenger in business class discovered that her money had been stolen while being asleep enroute and reported to cabin crew. Upon that report four more business class passengers discovered they were missing money too. The crew requested police to meet the aircraft at the gate and continued to Paris for a safe landing. The thief could not be immediately identified.
French police reported, that a total of 4000 Euros (around 5700 US$) worth in various currencies was stolen, testimonies of the five victims were collected. No arrest has been made.
